ASSIGNMENT: BRAND LAUNCH

If true titans in the world of “Bridal” existed, then surely Vera Wang and David’s Bridal would be at the very top of the mountain. So when these two brands teamed up to create a unique partnership that would offer the unthinkable — truly affordable, truly designer wedding dresses — they needed someone to develop equally unique branding. When companies are this strong, and the products this good, the branding better be invincible. Tasked with developing a full suite of materials that were exclusive to the new brand, as well as indicative of the designer and relatable to the target consumer, MODCo had to rise to the occasion. With a spanking new logo design, brand book, advertising campaign and everything in-between, White launched atop a pinnacle of critical and public acclaim.  


GOALS & CHALLENGES

  •  Visually define the brand in a strategic and targeted way.
  • Create a full suite of brand identity tools, logo, on-garment identity, corporate ID, etc.
  •  Produce an advertising campaign to live in consumer books, online and in store.
  •  Generate a catalog of products, editorial in feel, with a powerful selling capacity. 

RESULTS

  • Overwhelming success at retail, which far exceeded launch sales projections.
  •   Already accounting for an estimated 30% of David’s Bridal business.
  • Iconic and memorable visual branding that resonated equally with consumers and retailers.
