Ever wonder where Giselle gets her big sexy bombshell beach hair? Perfectly tousled and still not a strand out of place? Here’s a little secret for you: his name is Harry Josh and he’s not just a hair stylist, he’s an artist.  He inspires awe in even the A-list crème de la crème – and lord knows they aren’t easy to impress.

The Vancouver native has built his career on not only making people look beautiful, but feel beautiful as well. He works with big name photographers Annie Leibovitz, Patrick Demarchelier and Carter Smith; styles supermodels and celebrities like Katy Perry, Christy Turlington and Gwyneth Paltrow; and works his magic for fashion bibles such as Harper’s Bazaar and Allure. Today, he is the brand ambassador for John Freida, sharing his talent with those of us who may never need to get red-carpet ready. -Ariane

What projects are you currently working on? I have been the brand ambassador for John Freida Haircare for the past three years. It’s an incredible opportunity to share what I have learned from photo shoots and red carpets with the masses. 

Which current hairstyle trend do you consider in poor taste? The Snooki Poof.

Which hairstyle trend (past or present) is always in style? Long, sexy, bodacious, messy hair.

What beauty secret never fails? Being kind makes a person very, very beautiful.

Can you cook? What’s your signature dish? I have Morandi on speed dial. Does that answer the question?

Which country’s cuisine most pleases your palate? Mexico, hands down.

What is your must-have styling too? If creativity is considered a tool, I’ll take it. If I have to choose an appliance, I’d say a small curling iron. 

Which new technology has most enhanced your life? The iPad and Skype.

Which new technology could we/should we live without? Nothing! Technology rules!

In which arenas should technology never be applied? Perhaps matters of the heart. I would die if someone dumped my ass over a text message or on Skype. 

Social Media: societal plaything, societal enhancement, or societal curse? Sadly, a bit of everything.
