ASSIGNMENT: Brand Extension
MODCo was challenged to create iconic branding and imagery for the launch of three extremely high profile celebrity fragrances: Kim Kardashian, 50 Cent and Khloe + Lamar. Working with the celebrities, our task was to bottle the idealized essence of each of their core brands – the glamorous Kim Kardashian; the powerful 50 Cent; the unbreakable Khloe and Lamar. Judging by the results, we nailed it (if we do say so ourselves).
GOALS & CHALLENGES
Take into consideration the personality and accomplishments of each celebrity. Come up with unique concepts that encapsulated who they are as people while giving life to the concept of each fragrance. Elevate the image of each celebrity without alienating his or her core audience. Deliver a groundbreaking set of creative that sell a lot of perfume. Develop a comprehensive approach, allowing campaign to translate across multiple media outlets including OOH, Print, In Store and Taxi TV.
RESULTS
Kim Kardashian remains the most successful fragrance launch Sephora has ever had, and was the store’s highest selling fragrance for over a year. Power by 50 Cent and Unbreakable by Khloe + Lamar both secured exclusivity deals.
